The Self Portrait… it has become one of the most annoying epidemics of the world-wide web. Don’t get me wrong, I like looking, yeah I think you’re cute, but seriously how many pictures of yourself do you really need to have on your profile pages? Really how many pics can you take in the bathroom mirror? It’s made us narcissistic to a nauseating point… Anyway, enough ranting and trolling from me, just enjoy the work.

Sometimes things just come together nicely, I’ve always been a fan of design but never really had the patience working on the computer like I do now. I want to be a working professional artist, but I’ve always felt like I had A.D.D when it came to my work. I get fixated on a subject and do as much of that subject as possible, and then once I get bored, or something else grabs my interest I move on. I tend to start a lot of project, and never really finish them. Something that has taken me a while to get over, and I still do it from time to time. But, I have gotten better about finishing thing though nowadays. So.. BANG BANG on to the next…
Death is cool… until you’re Dead…
I have been meaning to post this one a few weeks ago, but the family and I made the move down to Maryland from NYC, so with packing and moving two kids, there was quite a bit to get done. Well, we are here now, in Maryland settling in nicely, making the switch from city rats to ‘burbanites .
While taking a slight break from my work, to watch the kids full time, while my wife is out of town for a week on business, I played around with some of my older works. I had done enough works with girls and phones (generic looking iPhones mostly), and the four panel structure has been friendly to me lately. So while I had a moment between naps, which was hard to come by with a 4 year-old and a 7 month old, but was able to make this 4 way long distance call!

I’ve posted this picture a few time on some of my other social sites and realized as I was about to post it here, that it would be too redundant and it needed something new or different. I simply gave it that vintage tint!
I am quite happy with the way this turned out, and I know there are a lot of Mad Men fans out there, but I have to admit I haven’t watched the show. Had a lot of fun with this piece and learned a lot while doing it as well. I have been trying to find a way to work with the computer a little more often with my work. I still do all the drawing by hand, but after that I take it to the computer and finish it up with Illustrator and Photoshop. I have a few more of these on the way so be on the look out!
