Colorfully Outspoken…

Masked

Well, we are half way through January, and I’m finally getting to my first post of the new year! Well Happy 2014, and here we go! I’ve been living in DC – well Maryland actually – for the past year, and well I am beginning to really enjoy it. I’ve made some great connections, my art is blossoming, and I’m just ready to make a name for myself. With that all being said, one of the connections I’ve made has blessed me with some great little illustration gigs, which I have really been enjoying. This piece is for a Hip-Hop/Spoken Word cypher happening later this month in DC.

The Self Portrait… it has become one of the most annoying epidemics of the world-wide web. Don’t get me wrong, I like looking, yeah I think you’re cute, but seriously how many pictures of yourself do you really need to have on your profile pages? ¬†Really how many pics can you take in the bathroom mirror? It’s made us narcissistic to a nauseating point… Anyway, enough ranting and trolling from me, just enjoy the work.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang…

BANG

Sometimes things just come together nicely, I’ve always been a fan of design but never really had the patience working on the computer like I do now. I want to be a working professional artist, but I’ve always felt like I had A.D.D when it came to my work. I get fixated on a subject and do as much of that subject as possible, and then once I get bored, or something else grabs my interest I move on. I tend to start a lot of project, and never really finish them. Something that has taken me a while to get over, and I still do it from time to time. But, I have gotten better about finishing thing though nowadays. So.. BANG BANG on to the next…

Vintage Thoughts…

I’ve posted this picture a few time on some of my other social sites and realized as I was about to post it here, that it would be too redundant¬†and it needed something new or different. I simply gave it that vintage tint!

Liberty…

I started this piece the same time as my previous one. They started as a series and I am more than thrilled that I actually got around to finishing them, as a series! I Love This City!

Ghost Towers…

I started this canvas over a year ago, when I was doing a lot of paintings and drawings of New York City skylines and bridges. Like my usually ways, I started the painting and then abandoned it for a while. I had an Art showing at my place a few weeks ago with a great turn out. Met a lot of new interesting people, sold some work, and got a few commissions. This was one of the commissions, for an engineer I met, who liked my bridge works, buts most of them are black and white and they wanted something a little more vibrant.

City Boarding…

A friend of mines came to me about a month ago with a plain skate deck, and asked me to paint a NYC theme on the board. How could I say no? I was never into landscape painting, but city scape painting I have really begun to enjoy! I used pen and acrylics and then sprayed it with a clear enamel coat to give it a nice glossy protective finish. If you bring me a plain skate deck I will customize it to your hearts desire!
